I recently wrote about my Digital Detox Fail! But I am glad to report that I managed ~30 hours of digital freedom! July 3 was my day off from my phone (aside from phone calls and a few text messages). I stayed off social media and spent time with the friends I was visiting. It was nice not to worry about my emails or be bombarded with videos and images. I even got a little reading in.

The detox in smaller doses continued throughout the week since we had a break from posting. My assignments in my other class were also moved back so I could take a little extra time away from my computer daily. I even decided to give myself a break from semester planning. With the break behind me, it’s full speed back into the world of social media and long hours on my computer. The holiday set me up to continue.

  1. That is awesome! I firmly believe that attempting a digital detox is valuable, no matter the outcome. Truly, taking a good rest is so important in our life in the long run!
